A sweet shop in Mumbai, specializing in traditional Odia sweets approached Redwood Algorithms. They offer unique dishes such as Chhena Poda, Rasabali, Odia Rasagola, Steam Sondesh, Mudhi Muan, Labanga Lata, Khaja Pheni, and more.

Client’s Requirement

When they approached Redwood Algorithm for assistance with their online presence, their main objective was to rank for "Chhena Poda in Mumbai" on Google Page 1.

Analysis

Before starting work, Redwood Algorithm analyzed Rasabali's online profile and discovered that they only had two low-quality backlinks. The pages ranking on Google Page 2 for the target keyword also did not have much backlinks.

This presented an opportunity for Redwood Algorithm to use backlinks to improve Rasabali's online visibility.

Redwood Algorithm's analysis of Rasabali's niche showed that the Expert, Authority, and Trust (EAT) rules were not strict, as it was not in the Your Money Your Life (YMYL) niche. 

Strategy

The main objective was to build backlinks in the short term, while setting up a blog for the long term.

To achieve this, Redwood Algorithm secured a Wikipedia backlink and five backlinks from three websites within the same niche. They also used Quora to generate backlinks and links to the domain from their PBN website.

Milestones

  • Within one day, the client website had already ranked on Google Page 2. The next step was to get it to Google Page 1. 

  • Redwood Algorithm continued to monitor the website's progress and updated the blog as the rankings improved.

  • Eventually, with the help of Redwood Algorithm's SEO efforts, Rasabali's website ranked #8 on Google Page 1. 

  • The Page is now ranking on #2 on Google Page 1 for the term Chhena poda.

The success of this case study demonstrated the effectiveness of Redwood Algorithm's SEO strategies, especially in niche areas where the EAT rules are not as strict.
